Since its foundation in 2004, Cia. Maduixa has created theatre and street performances for all audiences. Research and the blending of disciplines are the main creative driving forces behind each production, with the aim of exploring new theatrical languages and always taking risks in order to create its own stories.

The company has developed a distinctive style, present throughout its more than twelve productions, characterised by pushing the body to its limits and placing physical intensity at the service of dramaturgies that question social reality, creating powerful poetic images capable of moving audiences.

Over the years, its productions have received more than twenty awards, including three MAX Awards—the highest recognition in the performing arts in Spain— and five FETEN Awards—European Fair of Theatre for Young Audiences—. The company’s international reach has taken it to more than 25 countries around the world, presenting its performances in numerous theatres and festivals.
